APPLICATION GUIDELINES
A parent or guardian must apply with the student applicant. Both parties must be involved to fulfill all the required components of the application and ensure a clear understanding of the program commitments.
All students must be accepted into the program. The application is only the first step. Once you submit your application, you will be notified within three weeks regarding the next steps. If accepted into the program, you will be notified by email.
ESSENTIAL PRE-APPLICATION CHECKLIST
Prior to beginning your application, you will need to secure a referral letter, create a video introduction, and organize your identification and travel documents.
Record a Video Introduction (1-3 minutes):
The video should feature only the applicant.
Make sure your face is visible, and the audio quality is good.
Share anything about yourself, such as your interests, reasons for wanting to attend ULS, and any other thoughts.
The video file size must not exceed 9.8MB. Please keep it simple; no fancy editing is needed.
Obtain a Letter of Recommendation (Strongly Preferred): Identify an adult (not a parent/guardian) to give you a recommendation. Refer to our template for guidance.
Gather a Personal Identification Document: You may provide a driver's license or school ID. Any standard identification that contains a picture of the student will be sufficient.
Gather Valid Passport & US Travel Visa (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY)
ADDITIONAL APPLICATION COMPONENTS
Student Questionnaire: The application includes a comprehensive questionnaire. Set aside ample time for thoughtful responses. This section is to be completed by the student applicant only.
Financial Assistance Questionnaire: The application has a section to request financial assistance should you need it. The financial aid questionnaire must be completed by a parent/guardian only.
